Andrew is an experienced Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist and Certified Addictions Counselor who works with diverse populations of individuals facing issues including substance abuse/dual diagnosis, trauma, major depression and anxiety, personality disorders, complex grief, and codependency.
Andrew utilizes a strengths-based, patient-centered approach in building meaningful therapeutic relationships by employing clinical techniques including narrative therapy, object relations and attachment theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, as well as both harm reduction and abstinence-based approaches to recovery. Andrew is developing an emerging proficiency in Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, having recently completed Primary Training through the Albert Ellis Institute.
Andrew is a lifelong Chicagoland resident and has lived and worked in neighborhoods all across the city. Andrew received his Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from Loyola University Chicago School of Social Work. Prior to embarking on his life’s work in psychotherapy, Andrew earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Film Studies and Political Science at Northwestern University and was a broadcast radio professional.
