Ashley approaches therapy collaboratively with her clients, utilizing a strength-based and cognitive behavioral approach. She believes that all clients are motivated internally by their values but sometimes it takes some patience in order to learn to trust yourself. Ashley strives for her role as a therapist to be unbiased and nonjudgmental but yet supportive and trusting. Therapy should be a safe space to explore your inner most fears, while practicing real life communications in order to grow and better yourself and your relationships.
Ashley has experience working with adolescents and adults that are experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, relationship problems, work life changes and stress, behavioral and/or emotional problems, child and parent problems, grief and loss, or those that have issues related to past events like childhood traumas or past relationship issues that are reoccurring in today’s relationships.
Ashley is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She got her master’s degree from Roosevelt University in clinical mental health counseling and her bachelor’s degree from Elmhurst College where she studied interdisciplinary communications and business. She has worked for social service agencies with at risk youth, employee assistance programs, and within private practice.
