Emily is a licensed social worker with a specialization in mental health, dual diagnosis and addiction counseling for adolescents, young adults and adults.
Emily attended Loyola University of Chicago and completed her masters with a concentration in mental health after fulfilling her clinical practicum in inpatient settings and at intensive outpatient sites including Amita Health and Foundations Recovery Network. Her training to become a CADC has given her a special lens on treating addiction and instilling hope for clients she gets the pleasure of working with.
Emily integrates best practices including modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma Informed Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused therapy and Brief psychotherapy.
Emily is passionate about being an agent of change for her clients utilizing empathetic listening, warmth and a collective strength to find meaning in struggle and pain. Emily applies a strengths based approach surrounding individual needs and goals. Emily tailors her work to encompass a supportive environment to restore, heal, and explore acceptance.
Emily’s goal is to reconnect individuals to their values and guide the way for self-acceptance and permission to lead a happy and fulfilling life.
