Jessica Masbaum
EMDR-trained, Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Accepted Insurance: BCBS, Cigna, AETNA, UHC and self-pay

Jessica is an individual, couples, and family therapist, who approaches her work with a passion for understanding personality development, and the ways in which our unique histories contribute to our perspectives on ourselves, our worldviews, and how we relate to others. She uses empathy and curiosity in building a therapeutic alliance with her clients, using this as a jumping off point to explore what techniques and approaches would best help them to meet their treatment goals.

She has more recently been exploring the links between trauma, mood disorders, and addictions, and the ways in which these intersect and compound one another. She also specializes in work with young adults experiencing struggles with life transitions, as well as with couples in which one or both partners are struggling with trauma, mood disorders, eating disorders or other addictions. She is well versed in a myriad of approaches, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, and Internal Family Systems, and Psychodynamic Trauma Processing.

Jessica is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). She received her Masters of Social Work from University of Illinois at Chicago, and her Bachelors in Social Work (BSW) from Indiana University. She has worked in various settings, including residential rehabilitation, child welfare, schools, and community outpatient practice.
