Biography (Written In 3rd Person)
Having overcome tremendous adversity in my own life, I recognize the importance of helping others navigate and overcome theirs, especially during such an uncertain time. I am both a provider and a client of therapy, which allows me to better understand the individuals I work with. In our daily lives, it can often feel like we are being pulled in a million different directions. I want therapy to provide a space where you can be completely and authentically yourself, without judgment, expectations, or pressure. I truly love helping people create change in their own lives and feel lucky to have the front row seat when they do.
I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University with an undergraduate degree in Psychology from UC Boulder. I have spent extensive time working with children, adolescents, and adults in hospitals, schools, and private practice, specializing in depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, and trauma.
My empathic nature allows me to make genuine connections with my clients in a time where human connection is hard to come by. I am a person first and a therapist second, and I understand the difficulties that come with this “new normal,” especially for those managing a mental illness. So come as you are, wherever you are, and let’s work through it together.
