Stephanie works to create an open and collaborative relationship offering a nonjudgmental, supportive environment for growth and change. She is dedicated to creating a safe therapeutic space to explore vulnerability and discover and ignite client strengths, while expanding self-compassion, connectedness, resiliency and self-awareness. With empathy and encouragement, she will meet you where you are and guide treatment unique to your individual needs and goals. Stephanie uses an integrative, evidence-based approach to create positive change incorporating cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness, shame-resilience theory, and solution-focused therapy.
Stephanie has experience working with adolescents, adults, and families facing a variety of challenges including depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, life transition and adjustment, self-esteem issues, family conflict, parenting concerns, and substance abuse. Areas of special interest include work-life balance, career development and exploration, and couples work.
Stephanie received her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Northern Colorado. She completed her undergraduate coursework from Purdue University and received her Juris Doctor from Indiana University School of Law. Stephanie completed her clinical training at University of Colorado and has worked in residential, hospital, and outpatient settings.
