Biography

Dr. Adwoa Boateng is a pre-licensure psychological associate located in Washington, D.C. She has extensive experience working in a multitude of settings and has worked with a variety of patients. She provides psychotherapy and is competent in working with individuals with medical issues, trauma, mood disorders, multicultural issues, and other issues. Dr. Boateng uses a number of collaborative, evidence-based treatments, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT therapy), motivational interviewing, and others in an integrative approach best suited for each client.

Dr. Boateng earned her master’s degree in Psychology from Long Island University and earned another master's degree and her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Washington DC. She completed an APA accredited internship at the Mid-Atlantic Internship Consortium where she worked within an integrated medical setting providing comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations and psychotherapy.
