Biography

Marissa is a compassionate and attentive Licensed Associate Counselor that creates a safe and supportive environment to allow clients to reach their fullest potential. Marissa believes it is critical to approach each person as the unique individual they are and to work collaboratively with clients to address their most desired needs and accomplish their goals. By honoring this individuality, Marissa is mindful of how our cultural identities and backgrounds contribute to our experience as people. If you are seeking support for, but not limited to, stressors related to anxiety, depression, gender/sexuality, LGBTQ+ concerns, family/relationship concerns, trauma, or life changes, there is space here for you! Marissa is committed to client success and maintaining a warm environment both in-person and online.

Marissa received both her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Counseling from Arizona State University. She has gained experience in the mental/behavioral health field since 2018 and worked with a wide variety of populations in community mental health and non-profit settings.

Outside of work, Marissa enjoys reading, watching sports (especially basketball, baseball, and soccer), trying new coffee shops, and spending time with her dog Shay. She was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ and loves to explore the city.
