Dr. Moira Dammrich is a licensed clinical psychologist who provides both therapy and testing services. Her areas of interest include depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, aging, cognitive behavioral therapy, relationship skills, and psychological and neuropsychological assessment.
For therapy sessions, Dr. Dammrich works collaboratively with the individual, couple or family to establish the appropriate treatment goals. She utilizes a cognitive-behavioral approach to help clients become more aware of the interaction between thoughts, moods, behaviors, and physical reactions, promoting change in desired areas. Dr. Dammrich encourages clients to align goals with their values and work towards building a more meaningful life for themselves.
Dr. Dammrich also conducts neuropsychological and psychological evaluations. Requests for testing are typically made in order to help determine one’s diagnosis and to guide treatment planning. Initially, she meets with individuals to gather an extensive history of the presenting problem and to understand testing purposes and expectations. An individual may be evaluated for any of the following.
- Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder
- Personality disturbance
- Mood disorder
- Major/mild neurocognitive decline
- Intellectual assessment
- Learning disability
Dr. Dammrich previously worked and trained in private practice, hospital, rehabilitation, partial hospitalization program, residential treatment, crisis house, and school settings. She attained her doctorate in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in San Diego. She completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin.
